Rizwaan Sumra is an experienced international indirect tax professional with over 10 years’ experience of indirect tax matters related to aviation. In his role as Director, International Indirect Taxes, he currently leads Air Canada’s International Indirect Tax function across advisory, audit and compliance matters. Across his previous role at Deloitte and his current position at Air Canada, Rizwaan has specialized in strategically advising on industry specific matters across aircraft transactions, slot exchanges, new product and route launches, deployment of new airport lounges, membership and loyalty programs, ticket tax audits and advisory as well as global indirect tax compliance. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK.
